Red Star Riders believes every child, regardless of their abilities, should experience the joy of riding a bike.
We help raise funds to assist families in purchasing adaptive tricycles for children with physical disabilities.
Red Star Riders is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit founded by pediatric physical therapists to help create mobility and independence for physically and developmentally challenged children in the greater Los Angeles area. Red Star Riders performs this service as the local chapter AMBUCS, a national organization dedicated to providing local health care providers with the tools to make a difference in their community.

Red Star Riders functions to provide the following:
Raise funds to purchase tricycles for children who can most benefit from the use of this highly specialized piece of adaptive equipment.
Working with children to develop the best possible tryke configuration for a successful outcome through professional fittings and consultation.
Promote public awareness of the need for specialized equipment to enhance and improve the quality of life for these special children.
Empower families and communities to work together.
As physical therapists, we believe every child deserves to ride a bike and should not be limited by their physical disabilities or financial restrictions in this pursuit.
Red Star Riders creates opportunities for mobility and independence for children with disabilities using AmTryke® tricycles. These unique therapeutic tricycles help improve motor coordination, increase self-esteem, strengthen the body, promote social interactions, and give children a means of independent mobility, which they cannot obtain on a typical bicycle.
